Offset Requirements

Printing method, web offset. Maximum 133-line screen for both color and black and white. Furnished complete negative right-reading, emulsion side down. Maximum total density should not exceed 300%. For two-page spreads, two sets of negatives are required. Macintosh electronic files also are accepted on Syquest disc (up to 88MB), Zip Disc, and Jaz Disc. Supported applications are QuarkPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Freehand. Disk must include all support files (logos, photos, ect.), as well as all fonts used – both screen and printer. We are unable to access IBM or IBM-compatible files. A Chromalin or Matchprint color proof must accompany all color ads. color copies and color lasers are not acceptable. Ads containing Pantone colors or screens of Pantone colors must be separated into four color (CMYK) negatives. Extra mechanical work will be billed at current rates. No charge for key changes. Copy and illustrations subject to publisher’s approval.
